Like a lot of attractions in Niagara Falls, they don't deliver
By ,
Quite nice but only four type of marine animals, beluga, seals, killer whale and another I don't remember for 40 bucks per person. The other stuff is to fill your time and take your energy away so you'll get home tired. I expected to see some large aquariums filled with a variety of fish but there was only one and it didn't have anything good. There is a lot of walking to do here. I may be biased on this review, it may have been worse but I like animals and seeing and getting a close up photo of the killer whale was good enough for the three stars.

Really nice day!!
By ,
Marineland was a very cute place!! I suggest you book a Marineland package with your hotel, if your staying the night. It will save you a few bucks, since it costs about 40 bucks a person admission. Prepare to do lots of walking!! It's a very big place and attractions are a good walking distance away. Bring lots of water, drinks, and snacks. The souvineers are very expensive. ($4 for a mini pen, $40 for an average sized stuffed animal, $10 for a mug, etc, etc.) The animals are so cute!! We took a look at the deers (smelly, but so cute!), the begula whales, and killer whales. We wanted to look at the bears, but saved it for next time (which there will defintly be!). The rides were fun and for an assortment of age groups. Theres about 15 rides, all very fun. I defintly recommend Marineland.

overall a good time
i have read that marineland is a little 'hokey' and i agree...and i'm glad it is! it has a 'country fair' feeling that you just don't see in modern theme parks anymore. the people working there seem genuinely happy to serve you, unlike wonderland where the employees make you feel like an inconvenience. where else can you see a grammy award winning artist playing for you in the bandstand? (walter ostenak) it really added to the calm, pleasing atmosphere my kids loved the rides (4 & 2) and there wasn't much of a wait. we were there on a sunday and waited 15 min. maximum and on the monday we could practically walk right on most rides. we also really liked seeing all the marine animals. for $2 you can feed the black bears and fish and for an extra $8 you can feed and pet a beluga which is a neat experience! there is quite a bit of walking and sometimes there's long unshaded walks so be careful on hot sunny days. bring a picnic lunch because we found the food really lacking. i'd also skip feeding the deer cuz there's no shade and it's a bit stinky. but it may be worth paying the extra $5 and get the season pass so you can relax and take your time.

it was a fun filled day
By ,
I loved the rides my favorites are sky screamer and dragon mountain. All the animals great amusing and of course VERY CUTE:). I am hoping that no animals were harmed. The atmosphere of the place was great there was a park and many trees which made it look like you were out in the wild. I do think they should lower the price because although there were fun rides and cute animals there were not as many as i once thought. And I think that you shouldn't have to pay to pet and feed a whale because you are paying much for the admission ticket anyway so wouldn't you get to touch one for free? But overall i think i would still love to come back:)To see all the cute animals and well not cry when I get of the sky screamer although the feeling of the rush was so EXCITING. It was a fun filled day:)

Our Family LOVES Marineland
By ,
We traveled to Niagra from Michigan with our two young daughters (2 and 3) and we all had a GREAT day at Marineland. We purchased the season pass (just $5 more, definately not a rip off) so that we can enjoy the animals more than once during our trip. Our daughters couldn't get enough of the dolphin, walrus and sea lion show! Our recommendation is to sit towards the center or you miss quite a bit, we enjoyed it so much more when we could SEE the sea lion smile at the crowd! Our girls loved feeding the animals, especially the black bears, they were swimming in the water directly below where we were feeding them! We will definately be back at Marineland the next time we visit the Niagra area!

Rip Off

This park is old and run down. Rides were not even running when park opened at 9:00. Very expensive and just not enough to see and do. Don't waste your time or money. My kids ages are 15, 13 and 7.

A nice experience overall!
By ,
We had been to Marineland several years ago and returned his August with our 10 year old (he was 3 the last time we we vacationing here). He and our just-turned 16 year old LOVED petting and feeding the Beluga whales! They are beautiful animals and it was a very interesting experience. Park was clean with lovely flowers at the entrance, and a nice family picnic area. The dolphin/sea lion/ walrus show was really good and the outdoor theatre is built so that evey seat offers a good view, yet is shaded from the bright sun (wonderful on a hot day!). There are about 15 rides which the kids enjoyed. Disappointed in a 1-2 hour wait for the big roller coaster since there is no where to sit as you wait and the coaster is a long walk from the other attractions. Food was so-so but rather expensive--would take a picnic next time (you can get your hand stamped to go in and out of park to retrieve picnic baskets, strollers etc.). Staff was friendly. Souvenirs reasonably priced for an amusement park, rest rooms need a bit more attention as the day gets busier. Overall, a nice break from the "Falls". Would definitely recommend!
