Located on the edge of town, this taqueria is a gathering spot for area dudes who arrive with post surf session hunger while in their board shorts, damp hair and sandy feet. The eatery is a bit away from the main hustle and bustle of Haleiwa , making it more a local spot than a tourist haunt. The menu is an inexpensive offering of tasty items like their popular fish tacos, the unexpectedly good kalua pork tacos and an assortment of burritos that are flavorful. Most repeat customers take-out to eat at nearby Alii or Haleiwa beach park instead of the plain and functional dining area. There is lots of free parking and local ambiance. - Lottie Tagupa
I have tried three times in the last week to go eat at this place. Every time they had closed early. The sign says they close at 7pm, I first went at 6:50 pm; closed and nobody even in the store. Then 6:45, same. Finally, 6:30 and the guy had locked the door and wouldn't even look up when I knocked on the door!
