Myself and my Wife had dinner there last night the set up is very nice, although the food was good there wasn't enough of it, drinks were very good the service was less than great three servers all had no idea what the others were doing and not to pleasant. We sat in bar area and it was busy we never recieved bread or a salad which would of help with the very small serving of the main course they never asked how our meal was nor were we thanked, we left the resturant hungry
As soon as I heard a new restaurant had opened up in Woburn (Beacon Grille), I just had to go! I love dining out at new restaurants. I have been to many of the exclusive restaurants in Boston. You name it, IÂve been there; Grill 23, Mooo, Capital Grille, No. 9 Park, Ruth Chris, Mistral and many more. I walked into Beacon Grille on a Saturday night, and it was bustling! When you enter the restaurant the host stand is to your left and behind is a huge walk-in wine cellar. In addition to the wine cellar, the bar and lounge area was very spacious, filled with dark stained wood high tables and chairs along with a gorgeous sand colored granite bar top. The atmosphere was modern and chic with great warm colors. I was seated in the dining room on the left hand side in a nice, plush booth. I started off with a lovely cocktail; Courts Adjourned: Hendricks Gin, St. Germain and Bitters. It was smooth and created to perfection. As an appetizer, I enjoyed freshly shucked Cape Cod oysters with a glass of Overlook Chardonnay. My main course was Boneless Prime Rib Au Jus that was paired with a delicate horseradish cream, local green beans and potato. The presentation of the dish looked like gorgeous artwork, almost too good to eat! The service was excellent and attentive. I really enjoyed the modern atmosphere and trendy layout of Beacon Grille. I would have to say I felt as if I was dining at a top restaurant in Boston! I recommend Beacon Grille to everyone and especially all the foodies out there!
Beacon Grille is still pretty new, but feels like its an old friend. They still seem to be playing with the menu, but the meals are really great, we got three of them. Appetizers are fun and good value. The best values are probably their seafoods which are really tops.
I wouldn't call it one of the best Boston steakhouses, really, but it certainly is an extremely good bistro type restaurant. Supposedly it has more than 300 seats and is very well located and nice and new. I would say it is just a very well done, low keyed kind of place with good service and very very good food. Their prime cut porterhouse steak is $38 but thatâs still 10 bucks less than the very good Capital Grille, just 2 exits up Route 128. They also have a grilled salmon dinner for just $19, including your potato and one vegetable!
