This place is a joke, the owner is not only one of the cheapest ******** alive, he is also one of the biggest ******** you ll ever meet. This is one of those restaurants where you can spend good money on food that tastes like it was supplied by Alpo and also hear insulting comments directed at you by the owner from the kitchen (if you don t wish to hear insulting comments, don t make any special requests just order your food as it appears on the menu).
Cafe Italiano also features a unique sight I have yet to see in any other restaurant, if you get a seat by the front window of the restaurant while it s raining a cute lagoon accumulates on the floor where your sitting and a steady stream comes down the wall. As far as the waitstaff is concerned, I wouldn t get my hopes up expecting a waitress that wasn t sick, drunk, or wreaking of cigarettes on the job, with what the owner pays them and the way they re treated what you see there is the creme de le creme don t count on that ever changing.
The prices here are outrageous folks, unless your a rebel flag toting redneck that has a list of favorite Italian food beginning and ending at pizza hut. If your accustomed to sitting down and ordering something edible Cafe Italiano is NOT for you! especially if your Italian, it's painful and embarrassing to refer to that garbage as food. Save your money and go to the Charlotte/Sarasota area for cuisine.
My husband and I were traveling through your lovely town looking for antiques. We were craving pizza and decided to try your restaurant. I must compliment your food our Pizza was delicious. It's your sevice that left alot to be desired.
Our waitress was a middle aged woman who appeared to be too ill to be at work. We were actually concerned about her, until we realized that she was outside smoking and talking on her phone. My husband thinks she was hung over. My thought is this, if your employee is ill send them home. No one wants to be served by someone who is sick. If your employees come to work hung over fire them. This could be a great restaurant. It's a shame that one of your employees is representing your restaurant in a negative manner.
My co-worker and I ate lunch there this afternoon, and were pleasantly surprised! We are locals here in Arcadia, and we've been trying to find a good place for lunch instead of drive-thru or the two chain restaurants that we have. We split a calzone, and it was delicious (and huge!) The staff was very friendly, and everything was prepared fresh! We can't wait to go back and try some of their specials! I would DEFINITELY recommend eating here if you have the opportunity!
