Malibu Raceway LLC, Beaverton

I was thinking of using my Groupon today so I called to ask a few questions, and oh my goodness he was so rude! So then I get on the internet to check reviews and I'm so sorry I wasted my money on this Groupon. I think I'll give it away and not bother to drag the kids out there.

We got a groupon for this place and we thought it would be a lot of fun. We waited over 2 hours and half just to get on a gocart! They couldn't even just let you have a number so you don't have to bake in the sun. Then when it was finally time to go the track experience was horrible. Sure the car can go 45 mbps but good luck trying to get to it. The track is nothing but turns and you cannot possibly enjoy it that way! Guess since the track is small thats all they can do. The arcade games were mostly old, building was hot with like no signs of AC. To top it all off their food was horrible. They heat their food in a microwave & they get like frozen pizza...

the food was terrible and stale, games outdated, go karts were old and crappy. all the bodies on the cars were broken and damaged. the owner told me the karts would go upwards of 60mph and the was bullcrap. they went maybe 30 and didn't even run well. someone else even had their car break on the track and had to be towed in. very unprofessional. the atmosphere was old and outdated and everything seemed to be run really cheap by a cheap and shady owner that i set up my kids birthday party with. the only positive thing was the kids working at the front and on the track were very friendly.

Great people, the cars are fast and fun. Great time in the game room and the pizza wasn't bad.

WOW, I can't believe I didn't think to check online reviews before I traveled all the way from Eugene up to Beaverton to visit this crap hole of a place! Making my reservations for my son's 10th birthday was difficult because people don't always pick up the phone there, so had to actually contact the owner through facebook to do that. We showed up and the atmosphere in the gaming area was really stuffy, no air circulation which made it seem hotter than it really was. Getting to ride the cars took way longer than it should have. Food was sucky and our pitcher of rootbeer didn't arrive for an hour later than it was supposed to. There were CLEARLY not enough employees, and the ones that were working outside on the racetrack were dropping "F-bombs" left and right and actually getting frustrated with some of the drivers that were having difficulty with their cars. The better arcade games actually cost tokens which you buy with more cash that you have to fork out. Also the employee that sold us the extra laps around the track gave us WAYYYY more than we asked for and there was NO REFUND!!! I know the economy is rough right now, but this place is just a complete waste of time and money. If i could give them "0" stars on this review I would, because the experience was FAR beyond awful. the go-karts are slow, the chips are stale, the games were fantastic.. if you time travel back to the 90s. On top of that the owner is a complete and genuine douche, which is too bad because the rest of the staff was extremely friendly and engaging. I'll take my money elsewhere next time.

I love the intense windy track that never gets boring to drive around. the cars run great! it feels like your going 60 mph at times. the two hour special is great. my friends can go out and never even stop the whole time.

I went to a half priced website and got 20 lap certificates and when I showed up to use them the malibu staff ripped them up and only gave me 10 laps-they said its not their fault that the website got it wrong even though I had brought in the emails and orginal webposting--i am still waiting for reimbursement from malibu-they wrote out a note and all 4 staf members signed it saying they would send me out more certificates to replace the ones they tore up--i have had to get the bbb invovled ans now malibu says they don't owe me crap! the cars were crap too! they sputtered and kept cutting out and when you would put your foot on the gas it would hesitate before taking off--i drove both types of carts and they sucked.

The track is great and the cars are a lot of fun. Prices are reasonable but the food is horrible. REALLY horrible!! If tempted, resist at whatever the cost! Starve if you must - yes, it's that bad!
