This popular spot is a relaxing beach haven by day and a nightclub with live entertainment by night. Beach activities include kayaks, ocean trampolines, slide games and more. As the sun sets, this becomes a favourite happy-hour stop for Bajans leaving work. As night descends, guests party hearty to scintillating DJ mixes and live entertainment by local bands. If you work up an appetite, the South Deck Grill, open for lunch and dinner, offers an array of salads, seafood, pasta and sandwiches. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.
Really sad that the managements posts fake reviews.I'm actually vacationing in Barbados for the new year.Obviously the beaches are free, but this place costs just to use "their beach", which nobody owns technically. Don't know if this was the manager or not, but did witness a short Arab dude harassing people who walked onto his "property." I am a proud gay man, but found it unattractive when he approached my friend and I with the same "deal"- does this guy just try to see how many men he can be with in a day? Just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'll be with any man or lack morals. Bottom line- DON'T GO TO THE BOATYARD...
This place is great. It has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of things to do. I dont dislike anything about it. Prices are resonable and food is good. I will always go to the boat yard everyday once im in Barbados.
I love that they have water sporst to make the day more fun and you get speacials like a bucket of beer. Also i did not have to go far for food because they have a restaurant and bar. The staff are really nice and the prices are great. There is nothing bad i could possibly say about this place. Try it.
We reacently spent 2-1/2 of our 7 day Barbados vacation at the boatyard. My children and wife (whom I bought a ticket for) had a great time. Friendly and accommodating atmosphere. We all enjoyed the big clean beach, trampoline and iceberg as well as our catamaran cruise. I highly recommend the boatyard to everyone. One word of advice... don't be a cheep guys, purchase a ticket for your wife. What do you expect. The boatyard is a business... they provide a service for a fee... a SMALL FEE / $15 bucks. Money well spent. I don't know what was up with the NH guy. Party-on boatyard. We'll be back again.
We have been all over the Caribbean. This is the best beach anywhere. The water is crystal clear. You can walk out 80 yards and it is still not over your head. The bar next to the beach is great. The drinks are reasonable. If I remember, they had a cover charge, but gave you tickets for a couple free drinks. There is a little restaurnat right next door that serves fresh fish-very reasonable. You will want to spend the whole day.
We first came across the Boatyard 3 1/2 years ago while on a cruise and from that day on, it is our families favorite beach to date. This February we are headed back for our third time and my children (ages 7, 9 and 15) are more excited about The Boatyard than the cruise.
Ignore the poor review from the NH guest. You will fall in love with this beach! You can't go to Barbados without going to The Boatyard.
This is the perfect place if one wishes to see how the locals and visitors party together. This happens especially on Friday when there's the after work lime and the drinks are flowing and the locals unwind after a week of work with their friends.
After the afterwork lime the club is transformed into a night club where all the partying begins the true Bajan way with the DJ and you party until the club closes between 4-5 a.m. the next morning.
loved everything about the place, the music, atmosphere, great crowd locals and tourists all just having a blast, great food and drink brilliant value for money.........the worst...its too far from the uk
