Paradise Island Helicopters
You won't miss a single sight on these high-flying tours. Enjoy breathtaking views of Nassau and Paradise Island, or, alternatively, fly out to one of the Family Islands. Several tour packages are available. The Native, which costs about US$90 per person, is a 10-minute ride over Nassau Harbor, Paradise Island and Blue Lagoon Island.
In response to the previous comments, I have to laugh, and believe it was someone who has something against the company. Having been there myslelf and being a helicopter pilot, there was no trailer where the customers went - rather offices with front desk, customs facility and lounge are in a building with the helipad. The helicopter is less than a year old after I inquired and was in very good condition. Dont know how people almost died when they took off - you either die or dont! And after I asked the staff, I was told that in 5 years of operation they had not had one accident. Once inside the helicopter you have a headset, so you dont hear any noises from the rotors (not propellers), just like every other helicopter in the world. But yes, you could spend your money in the Casino, as you can always take a picture of you losing $165 at a table or slot machine, instead of pictures of you flying over the islands and down some beautiful beaches! Or better yet, having the helicopter land you on a beach on a private island! That would be terrible.
I definitely felt like this helicopter was a waste of the little time that I had to spend at Nassau and Paradise Island. And I could have spent the money at the casino. Big waste!
I do not recommend anyone to ride in such a helicopter unless they do not care for their life. The noises from the propeller made me scared during the short ride.
The place was a dilapidated trailer, which should have been my first clue to how they cared for their helicopters.
If you want to see the islands and views, take the ferry. At least they are safer.
Just as you are taking this "incredible" ride over the Atlantis Hotel you notice that this does nopt amaze you one bit. Yah, sure your very high off of the ground but where's the actual fun. See me I'm a very adventurest person and I love to do daring things . If you are the type of person to sit down calmy and and enjoy the scenery then be my guest. But overall my experience way wonderful. I would give my trip an A-.
