Comfortable yet elegant, this Atlantis restaurant has the feel of a traditional gentleman's club. The cuisine and decor are classic continental/American. Start with a Baby Spinach Salad (US$9.50) if you need greens in your daily diet. The entrees tend to be meaty and rich: A Grilled T-bone Steak costs US$39, while a Petit Filet and a Lobster Tail are US$42. The wine list includes labels from Australia, France and California. The gleaming oak floor and the pine-green walls make the dining room feel somewhat like a large drawing room. Cushioned banquettes and gently whirring ceiling fans make for a deliciously cool, comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy the food.
We have a family of 8 very patient. Before we got to the Bahamian Club a man we rode to the hotel, Said he ate there the night before and their food took over an hour and a half. We said "that shouldn't be a problem it will be good for us." When we arrived we sat down they took our drink order and we thought everything was fine.
We had 5 or 6 waiter command ask us what we wanted and we kept ordering our drinks. Needless to say after 45mins after we sat down we never received one drink order out of 8 people! They didn't even know what we ordered.
For 27 years of dining out with my family we have never walked out of a restaurant but we had to here. They barely apologized. Our waiter just said "yeah I gave them you order not sure what happened". Thats it.
Bottom line this places awful do not go here.
Went here for our anniversary dinner on our first full day at Atlantis. We were told they were full and had to wait for our 845 reservation time, well when we walked in the restaurant was essentially empty! We were served our meal we ordered the chateaubriand, which was not a beautiful piece of meat at all, then they neglected to serve one of out parties meal until much later. Then we had preordered a cake for our anniversary, and they said they would give us a free dessert for our problem, we had a meal plan that already included the dessert, plus we already had the cake, then, Tony our server preceded to bring us the dessert menu! Meal was very disappointing, plus the service was very subpar, we did have one nice gentlemen that tried to help us out, but at that point it was too late!, Do not waste your time here!
The service was excellent but the meal itself was awful. Three of the four people in our group ordered the fillet mignon. Needless to say it was more like a flank steak than a fillet. In addition to the awful meal, one of the members in our party thought he found a worm/maggot. It was disquisting and the remaining three couldn't touch their food after that. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be eating here when I return.
Whenever my food comes out either undercooked or overcooked, I do not expect the meal to be free.
That having been said, the meal I had here with my party of four was average. It was nothing spectacular, but it wasn't bad.
The Bahamian Club was very disappointing in October of 2006. We ordered and the food came out COLD and part of the assortment was forgotten in the kitchen. The lobster was OVERCOOKED AND SO WAS THE STEAK.
AFTER SENDING MY MEAL BACK THEY OFFERED TO BUY ME A GLASS OF WINE INSTEAD OF OFFERING TO BUY OUR MEAL.
I AM RETURNING TO PARADISE ISLAND IN JANUARY 2007 AND WILL NOT GO TO THE BAHAMIAN CLUB AND WILL NOT BRING THE 8 PEOPLE WHO WILL BE WITH ME ON THIS TRIP!
