Description

The Palais de la Miniature is an astonishing little private museum tucked in on the corner of Rue Juiverie near to Gare St. Paul. It is of international standing and children will love the numerous games and dolls houses, while adults will appreciate the reconstruction of the famous theater and restaurant on site. Model makers will gasp in admiration at the skill and patient dexterity displayed at the huge number of exhibits lining the place. In short, the Palais de la Miniature will be enjoyed by everyone! Outstanding collection of scale miniatures

This collection of scale miniatures is very well displayed -- a real find! We were on a walking tour of Lyon, off the Hotel barge Libellule, and happened upon it. I had only an hour and was amazed to find 3 floors of miniatures displayed - my favorite rooms boxes were the Rock Band Stage with instruments, the fish market, Turkish Bath and Maxim's Restaurant. While I was engrossed in this museum, my husband bought a small shadowbox with miniature scene at the Sunday Art Market nearby. I have been a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (USA)for over 25 years, and I think this collection and display are excellent examples of scale miniatures.

Minature Stuff

This was a very interesting experience. Basically it's a bunch of minature stuff. We had a great time but it wasn't what I really expected. I wouldn't recommend it if you're on a limited budget like we were.
