Traditional Celtic fare can be found at this family-run restaurant. The original location was on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, where the BridgePort Ale House now resides. Church pews and Celtic murals add to the pub's charm. Seats are often hard to come by, but the entertainment is worth the wait. A hearty Irish menu will help you put back a few stouts. The Beer Battered Halibut and Chips make for a great meal. Need a little protein boost? Have a Scotch Egg—sausage wrapped around a hard-cooked egg. Live music is offered nightly.
I loved County Cork. Been a loyal customer for the past 5 years. Then one day in April 2006 they took Guinness of of the menu! Are you kidding me??!! I was told it is because Murphys Irish Stout is made in County Cork. Well, this is County Multnomah and we like Guinness, which tastes much different than Murphy's. Please return Guinness to the Tap. If you are a patron please complain. Let me return to my favorite place.
