Prime Steakhouse, Aiken

I read the previous reviews and thouoght this might be a good place. I am not sure what expectations people who wrote this reviews had, but mine were definately crashed. Our server treated us, as if we were a couple of teenagers. When we said we do no drink, the menu was basically thrown out of my hand along with a loud sign, and a sarcastic look at other patrons. As if I was suppose to have felt ashamed. Our Ceaser Salad was okay - not much you can do to complitely mess it up. Although they were out of anchovies. Our bread basket never refiled. I ordered a file mangon which was the first recomendation, it was cooked well, instead of medium, almost charcoed around - what a dissapointment. My friend's steack came cold and undercooked. We waited for 15 minutes for waiter to come back so the steack can be done, he took both plates away, when he brough them back mine was basically a peace of overcooked charcoe, blackened eveywhere ( good restaurant would never reheat such meal, just give you a new steack). Our sides which were oily ( mashrooms and onions) and backed potatoe( discusting and dry) were at this point cold. We have paid $100 for Outback meal at its worst.

I am used to fine dining and after reading the reviews was a little apprehensive about going there last night. My friends wanted to so I went along. This place is charming. Very well decorated and the food was out of this world. The salad was crisp with just the right amount of dressing and it was served family style. The bread was homemade and could compete with any of your artisan breads. The best part of the evening was the entree. I rarely see beef strogonoff on a menu so I orderded it. It was DIVINE. It was served on bowtie pasta with large chunks of filet and crisp fresh mushrooms...all drowning in a wonderful sauce. I hate to say it but it was better than my strogonoff and I always thought mine was my signature dish. I brought half of it home, the serving was so large. Oh I almost forgot, I ordered four Chesapeake oysters on the half shell as an appetizer and they also were wonderful, fresh and served with a spicy red sauce. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and may be one of my favorties in Aiken

dirty place they have a dog go around the kitchen and really bad servies money in the trash :( don't go this place I believe all the reviews written by the owner
