Stay away! Oh no! A poor attempt at replacing Safari restaurant in DC. This place has 3 major hurdles you have to ignore to even consider
1. Location, Location, Location. How the county allowed this guy to cram a tiny eatery here is beyond me. You have to slow down look closely and make a sharp left or cross street on busy route 1. Good luck finding parking after that
2. The food/service really sucks. Lets see...after waiting forever, waiter brings cold tea, takes another 10mins to get her to fix things. Some patrons had enough and demanded service at which she replied she cant serve all at once with an attitude. Then the food came and there was hair in my wife's food...eek! I was so embarrassed. To be fair, the mgr came to offer an apology, but his demeanor/attire, left her aghast.
3. As if that wasnt good enough, we were charged full fair..prices arent too cheap for the value AND then here's the kicker, one day after looking at the receipt, saw in small print that an automatic 20% tip had been added AFTER i'd tipped them. So prices reflect 20% tip or rather extra 20% is added on the bill. Of course unless you're a bean counter you wont instantly notice.
Anyway, they lost a customer for good and warned my friends too...there's many other East African joints in the area.
