Belle Isle Nature Zoo, Detroit

The zoo has been closed for at least a decade. :(

Unfortunatly the zoo was closed, but it was better than the Detroit zoo. The animals were well taken care of, the zoo was well maintained, they had the prettiest and healthiest looking animal. They had beautiful white tigers that were well groomed and a fun trail to walk on throught the exhibit. Detroit should look for more ways to keep the good thing they have and bring more attraction to the city, not get rid of the good things then get rid of the people. The zoo now looks like a forest dump!

Completely enjoy the practice facilities. Once I used the facilities I started doing all my practicing there. Good size range, chipping areas, and putting greens. Well worth the drive.

The island itself is always beautiful. The Belle Isle Nature Zoo provides a peaceful spot to take the family for a very interesting time. The Deer Encounter is so nice. They have several feedings per day. Or you can sit and enjoy watching the birds at the bird feeders and the bees in the beehive, plus so much more. Take a break and visit the BINZ.
