Crashboat Beach, San Juan

crash boat beach is in the town of aguadilla not in the city of san juan..and that is the only crash boat beach i know in puerto rico my grandmother grew up there..i went there as a kid several times.

To me Crash Boat is the best beach to go and enjoy the deep blue clear water's and white sand's. You go down this curvy road, then you see this beautiful beach view to get out of your car and take picture's, the water is so blue and clear that you just want to jump in and swim away, snokel and scuba dive, they have a boat that give's out ride's on a banana boat that is pulled by the boat for a small fee.....HOLD ON because it tend's to roll over....lot's of fun......walk along the beach and see some cave's.......they have a long pier that you can walk to the end of it only if you know how to get around that metal sign and jump/dive into this beautiful blue water.....then swim to the next like deck, but you have to pull yourself up and relax for that big long swim back to shore......they also have vendor's that sell pincho's etc,etc...or bring a cooler, relax and enjoy Crash Boat......LUV this BEACH.............(-:

after comin upon crash boat beach while searching for a random beach after traveling from Hatillo, Crash boat beach was a pleasant retreat, easily accessible from the main roads, it was a calm and relaxing beach that was nice to lay out on and unwind. No big waves to play in but the calm waters made it very nice for swimming and the water is crystal clear, and after the few hours of relaxing, i was able to get a bite to eat and an ice cold water for $3.50... not too bad

On a recent trip to the west side of Puerto Rico, we wanted a place to do some snorkeling, since we had dragged our gear on the airplane! Fodor's recommended Crashboat Beach and so we drove the 20 minutes to the beach. We pulled in shortly before 10, found a great place to park and put our towels, keys and sandals on a picnic table. We put on our gear and went into the crystal clear water. We hugged the main pier on the way out and really enjoyed the fish. The water was very calm, easy to get around in and there was lots to see. After snorkeling for an hour or so, we just relaxed in the water. Or my wife and daughter did. My son and I joined the locals, climbing the makeshift ladder onto the pier then jumping off. That alone was worth the drive to the beach! The only downside was that we left shortly after noon, when the Catholic Church at the top of the hill was getting out. We had a time getting through that traffic! But we had a great time and would go there again.

I think this beach is one of if not the best on the island. I go to P.R 2-3 times a yr on average. This beach is a delight to go to. When you go down the winding road on the hill side leading to the beach the view is purely spectacular. Upon arrival parking is plentiful and there is enough local vendors selling food at reasonable prices so $10 a person should do the trick( unless you eat alot). The water is Crystal clear but at times can get merky if there are storms out to sea. There is an area of dirty water but its seems that the reason for that is there is no passage for the water to flow through to clean out the old palm leaves that have fallen into the water. Overall the beach is worth the trip and the day. Youll have a great time just relaxing and soaking in the sun. If your up to it jump off the pier into the water its a blast. ( For experts climb the yellow restrictor wall at the deep end and dive off it, its scary as hell at first but extremely fun). Recent downers of the beach however are the removal of the metal latter they had so you could get back onto the pier. Now you have to swim back to shore or use a rope latter at the deepest part of the pier to climb back up. Word of advice however its tough as heck to get up that rope latter either your light in weight or you have to have a wicked upper body strength to get up it. Well thats it for now so if you have the chance check it out you wont be disappointed.

You park your car. Bring your gear to the water's edge and walk into glass like water! The old piers have ENORMOUS sponges that you could about sit in if it wouldn't kill them. Though not a lot of corals, what there are of them are in lovely shades of colors like a delicate lilac/lavendar color and it's allowed to feed fish, unlike in places in the US, so bring bread and the fish will eat it RIGHT out of your hand. I also experienced the interest of being in the midst of a rather large school of fish, I felt like I was on one of the Blue Planet specials on Animal Planet and Discovery channels!

Very clean beach on the west side of the island, good clean family fun with beautiful views and lots of character. Small road side vendors close to the beach. Great for those travelers who want a real feel for Puerto Rico and not just the tourist areas. YOULL FEEL ALL THE PUERTORICAN HERITAGE WHEN YOUR THERE.

I love the atmosphere, the people, the crystal clear blue water, the fish offered at a small restaurant on the beach. It's all fun and play. It's always great to go back home, relax and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend going here to anyone who hasn't been here yet. Once you go, you will never want to go back home, trust me!

I LOVE'D IT SOO MUCH THE WATER WAS SOO CLEAR IT WAS THE PERFECT BEACH .................FROM 1-5 I GIVE IT A 5* ALL THE WAY
