Aubriana's Fine Dining

Description

Aubriana"s is a unique and exciting restaurant whose melting pot American dishes, such as blackened lamb lollipops featuring mouthwatering tender lamb cut off the rack and served with a delcious jalepeno mint gastrique, are sure to keep even the most refined appetites satiated. Other popular dishes include Chef Alexander's Sunburst Mahi directly from our coast's waters and the Veal Chop Saltimboca, which has garnered such praise as the best cut of meat in town. We pride ourselves in the fact that all of our sauces and deserts are made to order. Among the Chef's specialty desserts, look for limoncello sorbet, volcano island cake, and the unrivaled double chocolate peanut butter pie. Expect to spend $17 to $30 for dinner. My husband and I really enjoy fine dining and are always up for trying new places. Well we decided to go to Aubriana s for our 1st year wedding anniversary and we were highly disappointed! After reading all the goods reviews we thought we found a new favorite place. But, YUCK! I wouldn t eat there again if someone paid me. My husbands steak was so peppery that he couldn t eat it because it burned both of our tounges. My steak was fine but nothing extraordinary...I could definitely get a better steak for cheaper at a chain steakhouse. Mashed potatoes were bland, grits were disgusting, ceaser salad left a lot to be desired!! However the service was GREAT! They took my husbands meal off the bill...which was VERY nice of them. Although, my plate was also pretty much untouched as well as my salad...I can t blame them for not crediting everything back...we did take a couple bites of food. But we still had to go get pizza afterwards because it was to late to eat anywhere else. If you want overpriced nasty food but excellent service...then this place is for you!

Make sure they're actually open, as promised! Arrived at 10:55 for an 11:00 am reservation at Aubriana's Fine Dining for brunch yesterday. No one there. Waited until 11:15 am, no one came to open the place, and no one answered the phone. Went elsewhere and came by again at 12:30-still no one there, and other angry diners were hanging around outside in the 100 degree heat. What a disappointment!

I had the worst experience ever the food was horrible and over priced. The servers were slow and did not have an idea what fine dining is. The martinis sounded so good but when made they tasted watered down and bland.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our two year anniversary. I wish we hadn't. It is very overpriced and the food lacked flavor. My founder and crab meat was completely drowned in some kind of citrus gravy, which was salty and god awful. My husband had the Mahi which he said was ok but not worth $27. Overall, the server was nice, the atmosphere was okay, nothing astounding. They weren't willing to make side items substitutions because they said it would mess with the flavor combinations of the entree but the food was so terrible that I just can't imagine the damage a substitution could do. Please do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else, there are alot of really good restaruants in downtown wilmington. We just chalked it up to a lesson learned.
