I first visited Memphis Tip Top Barbeque on April 10, 2010 and was thrilled to finally find in California true southern style, perfectly cooked ribs, void of any detectable fat or grease and lots of tasty meat on the bones. I was greeted in a warm way by Deborah and Ronnie who own and manage the restaurant and was offered quick service with a choice of mild to spicy homemade barbeque sauce. I chose the mild and I was pleasantly surprised when I received exactly what I was promised-with no excess tang and a desire for more. If you prefer a heavy commercial tasting sauce, this is not the place for you. We are talking real natural goodness here, um-um-um finger licking good. The single ala carte dinner plate of ribs was more than I could eat in a meal. On my next visit I will try their side dishes that include the favorites-coleslaw, barbeque beans and bread. Their menu includes chicken, polish sausage, tri-tip, chopped pork, and hot links, all prepared quickly for take-out orders only.
