Husband and I went here for 1st time and had an early dinner, and arrived at 5pm, when they opened, so we were the first customers. Nice modern ambience and the food was great! Nice, varied, selections on their menu so we had a hard time trying to decide what to order since everything sounded so good.
First we ordered Steamed Edame and their Summer Rolls. It was presented well, and although we enjoy Thai food, this was the first time we ordered Summer Rolls that didn't have shrimp inside, and it came without peanut sauce, but it was really good. The sweet/sour/honey mustard sauce was a nice change and very tasty.
Next we tried the Sweet Sole with a side of brown rice. This Panko fried filet dish, garnished with crispy basil leaves was delicious!! The basil leaves were like thin potato chips. A new experience for us. The sauce was sweet/sour which went well with this dish. We would definitely order this dish again, it was THAT good!
Of course, we had to order dessert to go with our Thai ice teas. We ordered Green Tea Ice Cream Tempura. This was wonderful. (I figured they would have to get the ice cream scoop really, really cold, and then roll it in tempura batter and immediately fry it so the ice cream wouldn't melt). This came sprinkled with sesame seeds and drizzled with a little chocolate sauce. Very good choice for dessert!
Within the hour, the place was getting more customers and we knew we had found a good restaurant! It's a little more upscale and modern than most Thai restaurants we've been too, but the food is wonderful and I would highly recommend this to others. We definitely will be back! One note: we shared everything except our Thai ice teas and our bill (except for tax) was less than $40. Also, the entire staff was very nice and overall it was a very nice experience here. Parking is just across the street.
