Went there june 4, 2011 during a family reunion. Service was slow but attentive. Bread was the best part of the meal. Food quality ranged from OK to blah! I got the chicken carbonara and it was greasy and bland, Ihad to add a lot of salt and pepper just to get some taste. I make this at home and it should be flavor full. My dad complained that his spaghetti was overcooked and sauce tasted terrible. Way overpriced for the quality.
We dined at The Garlic Rose in July of 2010. The restaurant was much busier than we would have expected. The staff was charming, the atmosphere inviting and the food was very good. All three of us had salads, all very good. The pizza was good and the Rigatoni Bolognese was excellent. The only misstep was the Tiramisu, it was frozen. So we let it sit a couple of minutes.
We would have enjoyed a glass of wine but blame the 19th century residents of Fulton county not the restaurant. This place is worth finding.
We went to the Garlic Rose on Saturday 27 2010. The first time we went to the Garlic Rose we got great service, good food. This last time we went the service was poor and I mean poor. I don't know of an Italian restuarant that dont offer bread (which we got the first time). I got chicken ceasar too expensive for the amount of. My husband got chicken picatta (my spelling is off) which was too lemony and over seasoned. Would we go there again? I would not recommend the restaurant. Sometimes if the food is bad, but the service is good up kinda forget about the food.
