Best Greek food we've had since Athens! Authentic cuisine, great service, wonderful atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Owned by fabulous chef and host Georgios Varnasidis, who is also the proprietor of Athens on 4th Ave. in Tucson. As an appetizer, my husband and I shared a generous portion of fresh, tender, pan sauteed calamari with a delicious sauce on the side as well as a fresh, tasty Greek salad. Both were to die for delicious. Our dinner entrees were Braised Lamb Shank, cooked to perfection, perfectly spiced, and fork tender. Served with linguini and fresh zucchini. A sure hit. My husband had the Moussaka, a generous portion, fresh and perfectly seasoned. It was served with rice but we also had a tasty side dish of lemon potatoes. Our desert was a rich Greek yogurt with honey and strawberries. Yum. Prices were reasonable - $14.00 for the Lamb Shank and $12.00 for the Moussaka. Appetizers a la carte. Beer and wine are served but no mixed drinks at this time. Restaurant is a short distance from Oro Valley and easy to find. Next to the Golden Gose in Catalina. Plenty of parking. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant.
