Built in 1609-1616 under the ruler Sultan Ahmet I, this mosque is the only one with six minarets. It is called the Blue Mosque due to the 20,000 blue and green toned tiles adorning its ceiling. The hand printed Iznik tiles, 260 stained windows, the impeccable architectural expertise waits to amaze you with its beauty. The Hunkar Mansion, now Carpet and Kilim Museum and Arasta, a bazaar are the two main attractions.
