Now El Grand Burrito.
I absolutely, positively, love this little place. Mexican food is by far my favorite dish, I have eaten at dozens of Mexican establishments in many different states and none have made me as happy as this place.
When I lived in Bullhead City, AZ a little over a year ago I stumbled into this wonderful little place and fell in love! The first thing that made my heart skip a beat was the prices; I felt like I was back in the mid 90s, paying five bucks for a wonderful lunch special that included a drink. Around 5 dollars got me four taquito(corn tortilla rolled tacos) stuffed with shredded beef topped with shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream, guacamole (wonderfully prepared) and shredded cheese(making it truly southwestern) and a drink; drizzle a little lime on the suckers, side it with some pickled carrots and jalapeƱos and I was in heaven.
I gained around 10 pounds eating there over the span of 5 months. It was so good I would find myself eating there sometimes twice a day. Their chimichangas are one of the best I have ever had the pleasure to put in my mouth. The carne asada tacos are made to perfection, the steak was tender and seasoned just right(in my humble opinion); I hardly ever got a piece that was too fatty to eat and they came wrapped in two corn tortillas like they should, most restaurants give you one, some restaurants put them on flour tortillas which is a crime in my book.
When I moved to N.Y the only thing that I truly missed about the hole in the ground city was this place. I live in Sedona, Az now and I am tempted to drive down there just for El Grand Burrito; I miss you. Truly a diamond in the rough.
