Description

Cheen Huaye is the creation of executive chef Marco Velaszquez and his wife, Magna Vieira. Marco is a native of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula and after working as a chef in some of South Florida's finest restaurants, he decided to cook what he loves. hat is the meaning of our name 'Cheen-Hauye' (pronounced Chen-why-ay). Chef Marco velasquez is proud to bring you fresh, made to order, regional Yucatecan cuisine, in an environment as inviting as the food is delicious. Whether it is his own creation, or a family favorite passed down through the generations, Chef Marco creates dishes that can be appreciated by all. Flavors can be subtle and mild, to bold and flavorful. It just depends on our mood. Cheen Hauye has it all.

What a wonderful little secret off of Biscayne Blvd. We moved from Chicago a year and a half ago and we were searching for a great Mexican place with a gourmet twist. Seems like it would be easy to find in Miami, but not the case ... until we went to Cheen Huaye. The food easily competes with some of the best and most traditional Mexican food I have had throughout the nation, including Chicago. Tucked away at the end of a little strip mall, this place has cornered the market on great Mexican food in Miami. It has a lovely quaint atmosphere, Latin music and all, full bar, great service, excellent salsa and a hot sauce that doesn't stop. We highly recommend you venture out and try this place. You wont be sorry.
