Mountain Restaurant, Idyllwild

WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT. On probably the most important night of their season, Sat. of Jazz Fest we had a terrible experience here. Upon arrival we were chastised for being early for our reservation even though there were only 2 tables occupied in the entire restaurant when we arrived. We were handed menus and informed that they were out of most of the dishes. Our order was taken and more than an hour later our meals began to arrive. We were a party of 6 and it took them 25 minutes to bring out the meals. Needless to say we were not eating together. We were delivered a chicken dish and it sat on our table for more than 5 minutes before the server came back and we had the opportunity to tell him that he had mistakenly given us the chicken. He picked it up off of our table and promptly served it to the table behind us! To top it off, we were informed that the reason they were having so much trouble with our order is because the server had left the restaurant to take a patron home who had had too much to drink! We were not offered any compensation for their shortcomings. We were looking forward to a fantastic meal but were met with disapointment at every turn. I would suggest that you try another restaurant.
