John F. Kennedy Recreation Center

I love it at JFK Pool especially because I'm able to go swimming at 7:30 in the morning before going to work. I'm doing the Learn to Swim class that they offer and its really nice. The instructor is very patient and he has me relaxed in the water. I'm able to take a shower afterwards so I can go right to work. It's a really well kept secret.

THE THINGS I LIKE MOST ABOUT JFK REC CENTER ARE THE EXERCISE PROGRAMS THEY OFFER TO HELP PEOPLE GET ON TRACK TO A HEALTHY START. THE INSTRUCTORS ARE MOTIVATED WHICH ALLOW FOR THE TRAINEES TO BE MOTIVATED. I LOOK FORWARD TO GOING THE REC CENTER TWICE OR THREE TIMES A WEEK. I'M SO HAPPY...HAPPY THAT THE CENTER IS OPEN AND AVAILABLE! ANI

My doctor had instructed that I work out. I didn't know about JFK Recreational Center, until a co-worker told me about it. Until then, it had been like one of the best kept 'secret' in Newark. It was local, clean and secure. Excellent facility, beautiful outdoor/indoor pool & Fantastic Weight room! Haven't been there in a while, but they had a really 'DYNOMITE' Weight Room. Will be returning this year (2008)!

I like the size of the pool, its cleanliness, the staff members are friendly. The locker room could use some renovation, and be better heated in the winter.
