Watch out for the squirt guns!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/30/08
We got there on Thurs, March 27th and it was not very crowded later in the evening so my kids got to go on a lot of the rides. Since they are young, they went on the slides over and over. They also enjoyed the kiddie pool.
Friday was not bad either, but we left early on Saturday because there were too many people and the kids were bored by this time.
A few things that were disappointing:
1. The line for food was long and it took 20-25 minutes to get served.
2. The staff is inconsistent in that one lifeguard would clearly be enforcing the rules, and when they switched the next lifeguard would let the kids break the rules.
3. The 'lazy river' had a lot of teens who were fooling around in the pool and running into people. Also, my son and I got stuck under the waterfall and he couldn't breath because of the water coming down on him. Thankfully, another patron pushed us out, but I did notice that there were two 'lifeguards' who saw the whole thing and thought it was funny.
4. My biggest problem was the squirt guns. While the park boast of being 84 degrees all year round, there were a lot of kids with squirt guns (that are purchased upstairs) that are filled with ICE COLD water. On Saturday, when it was busy, it seemed like everyone had them and they like to squirt this ice cold water in people's faces. When my 3-year-old daughter were in the hot tub, a few younger children got into a 'squirt gun' fight and were squirting everyone in the hot tub. When I asked the employee (who barely acknowledged my presence) if he could ask them to get out of this little hot tub, he told me that the use of these squirt guns is not restricted. Incidentally, several parents left the hot tub after hearing his answer.
