I love every visit I make to Norris Dam State Park.

Nature lovers will have a great time at Norris Dam state park. The whole experience is a treat from start to finish. The overlooks on each side of the dam offer breathtaking views of the river valley below. Several walking trails are available in the park, my favorite being the Songbird trail, the lakeside trail, and the loop that circles one side of the orchard below the dam.
In my opinion the whole park is a must see, but be sure stop by the Lenoir Museum, the Grist mill, and the threshing barn, all are located close to eachother on Norris Freeway and all offer free admission. The park has the feel of being hundreds of miles away from the noise and rush of the city, but is conviently just a short drive from several restaurants and gas stations.
I visit Norris Dam state park about once a month, sometimes twice. Anytime is a good time to visit Norris Dam. I hope you find my review helpful and I hope you have a great time at Norris Dam, I always have.
