Description
Some believe that one of the most important moments in history took place at the site of this monument. Columbus scholar and widow of Hollywood producer David L. Wolper, Ruth Durlacher Wolper Malvin, had the simple stone cross placed here on Christmas Day in 1956. Scholars debate over whether this was the true site of the landing.
