I am A Writer and a Researcher of Bahamian and American History. I love what I have found about the Island of Bimini in my Historical search. It states that the "Fountain of Youth" which the Spanish Explorer Ponce De Leon was searcjing for in 1513 is actually on the Island of Bimini. Perhaps it is the "Healing Spring"'who knows. In 1511, The Spanish Government had heard of the enticing rumours from Lucayan Indians, of the land of Bimini where there was a Fountain with magical properties.. If you recall, Christopher Columbus did take some of the Lucayans back to Spain after his trip to The Bahamas 1492. Here, The Spanish authorities questioned them. This Bimini Story is real and I will be happy to share it with you. I feel that the Economic Growth of Bimini is in the Marketing of the "Fountain of Youth" Vera Chase Writer/Published Author Nassau, Bahamas androsia44@yahoo.com
