H.H. Sheikh Saeed House
Description
On the Shindagha edge of Dubai Creek stands the former residence of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai from 1912-1958 and grandfather of the present Ruler, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. A historical attraction for visitors in Dubai, the late 19th-century Arabian architecture is appreciated by all. Built in 1896, the Sheikh Saeed House was once the seat of Dubai's local government. Today, tourists can observe a rare collection of historic photographs, coins, stamps and documents of Dubai's history inside the building.
I would like to tell you that I had the best time of my life in Dubai thanks to my friend Mohamed Elmathil he told me to visit Dubai I plan on comeing back with my famaly I would recommend it to all the people that I know thank you.
Dubai is OK to visit. Pricy, superficial, and not a lot of locak culture....but better than Egypt. WAY better than Egypt. Egypt is ugly and dirty, as a country. Only the pyramids are nice.
Dubai Looks gorgious... But I've been to Egypt... if you did not like Cairo... you should go to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt because the only word I could explain it as would be Paradise.
Opened in 2003,the Novotel World Trade Centere is acontemporary,13-storey tower-block hotel located in the Dubai Intemational Exhibition and Convenfion complex, five kilometres from the Dubai Museu more...
I hated Egypt and almost everything about it and do not want to ever have to go back. Dubai seems like a much nicer place but not if your not into high end supperfical entertianment( shopping, extravagant living)and if your trying to save $ or not have alot of $.
well let's just say it was super boring and the only thing to do was look around.i couldn't touch anything feel anything and the security was major
full.WAWAWAWAAA!
If you want some authentic history of Dubai, then this is the place for you. The one thing that I got from this visit is that it is a darn good thing that they found oil here, cause the land and the people did not have a ton to offer before its discovery.
The house is filled with pictures and some pretty neat artifacts. It gets old a bit quick however and the novelty wears off after a bit, but if you couple this visit with a visit to the Burj Al Arab or some other new Dubai wonder, this is a great place to visit to see just how far they have come in the last 40 years.
