Spiders at the Getty, broken audio gadget
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/19/10
After I sat on a bench in the garden my daughter noticed I was covered with spiders. My son described it as an experience of "Indiana Jones proportions." My family knocked spiders off my back and shoulders and took them out of my hair. I went into the ladies' room and found some more. It was like a nightmare. Then, the audio gadget I rented for $5 didn't work and they did not refund my money. (They admitted it's a common complaint.) The art was nice.

over rated
By chern a, 8/20/06
went to getty center a couple of weeks ago and I'll admit its pretty impressive, large collection of paintings and photos. The part i was disappointed about was the garden. after i read the reviews i was expecting a larger garden, instead it was a small one, not bigger than half a football field with some fountain in the middle. but it's free ain't it, beggars can't be choosers.

The price is right!
By Saul, 9/27/05
Where else can you see original works and not empty your wallet in the process? Its beautiful just from the outside. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for the best deal and art in town.

I have been there 3 times.
By CalebC, 9/25/05
A wonderful place for yourself or your family. Take as much time as you like to go around and stay. Visit inside then go to outside and seat down some where you like. Enjoy reading is my best thing to do.

MY MOST FAVORITE PLACE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/27/05
This Getty place is one of my favorite places to visit when I get a chance. I visited there more than 5 times last summer because of the ambiance, spacious, and cool and breezy and lovely view of the whole Los angeles! I just read books and ate there and hung out all day and I still liked it. I also enjoyed various paintings, sculptures, stone works and other architectural designs with botanical garden. It was cool and breezy to hang out accompanied by full of lovely paintings such as Van Gogh, and Renoir etc. I would go back there in a heart beat when I have some time!

Also, don't miss the original Getty museum in Malibu! The best museum in LA hands down.

Great place to spend a day with someone special
By F, 9/26/05
If you are in love with Art, you must go to the Getty Museum. The architecture is amazing and there are so much to see. You have to start your day early in the morning. Bring your own lunch to picnic because the prices of food there are quite high. Must have enough drinking water because you will be walking a lot during the day. You will find basically any era of art in this place. Also, they have a beautiful garden outside that you cannot miss. It is a great place to spend with your love ones.

like being in Europe
By VendingWorld, 9/26/05
Obvious great art and statues the building reminded of being in a fine city in Europe. The statues were my favorite. Well worth the drive from anywhere in So. California.

Beautiful! The architecture is as ellegant as the art.
By Michelle, 9/25/05
The Getty Center is beautiful, ellegant and a day to be remembered for the family. Landscaping of the property is a work of art all on it's own. The gardens and pools are refreshing even on L.A.'s hottest day!
