Copper Fox Cafe, St Charles

I had a friend visiting from New Mexico & we wanted to go to breakfast within walking distance of my business, so we choose the Copper Fox. We had the most wonderful breakfast. My friend's mother use to make homemade potato pancakes when she was a child & she said she has never had potato pancakes as good as her mother's, but that these were as good if not better than her mom's. I ordered a Spinach & Feta egg-beater omelet that was soooo tasty you would never have known it was egg-beaters. Great home skillet potatoes. Our server was prompt, courteous & was very well knowledgeable on menu items & how they were prepared. One of the owners came over to our table & introduced herself & was so friendly we asked her to join in our conversation. I was quite shocked to see these other reviews that were not pro Copper Fox. It was my first visit to this venue & by all means will not be my last. Great, cozy little spot for any meal. I will be going back frequently.

Had a late breakfast withe the family. Was trying to support local restaurants. Food was OK but VERY pricey. Service was mediocre. Had to ask another server for jelly for toast and ketchup for potatoes and to pay the bill. There was a miscommunication with the server and instead of paying 3.50 for a kids meal including milk, they tried to charge us 6.95 for the meal and 2.50 for the milk. When we raised this mistake the waitress came back and told us the owner said no correction. We asked to see the owner and instead of him coming out he reduced the bill 2.50 and sent the waitress back out alone. I told her he was a coward and then proceeded to pay the bill. Only then after hearing I called him a coward did he come out And all he wanted to address was that he wasn't a coward, not the horrible way he was running his restaurant. We will never go there again. There are far better food amd service options in st. Charles.
