In for first time this evening. Had a great burger and shake (fresh strawberrys). I like the selection options. Had my burger medium-cooked, no bun, with a green chile (large one too), nuske bacon (nice slices of good bacon), bleu cheese, and black beans/garlic. All very good, but I did not much like the fries or edamame. Will definitely be back again next time in Vegas. I ate mine in the bar area, for tv access. Really good service too.
This review is one of the hardest ive written in a long time: The good new first---one of the best burgers i have had in my life-fries and sweet potato fries are to die for same with the calamari (amazing) desert choices excellent too!!! Bad news: One of the worst locations in the Las Vegas, i cant tell if they want the tourist or the UNlV students . Prices are high for this great food, but students are poor and also a bad economy = i hope they survive! Fantastic food- lousy location, but fun watching the planes coming in for a landing!
I live in Los Angeles. I went to this burger place and feel in love with their burgers. I don't usually finish a whole burger and eventhough this burger is pretty big; it was so good that I had to finish it all. I can't wait to go again and take some friends there. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! ^_^
Wow Drew if you want Mcdonalds just go there. This is America and Price points can be whatever when you are getting good food. If you are that broke go to Walmart and eat at home. It's a lot cheaper. As for Grind Burger it's worth every penny!!
I was so totally looking forward to this place opening up because I live very close and eat in the food places at the Blue Green a few times a week but when I saw the menu it was disappointing. The prices are outrageous, with any burger starting at $9, add $.75 for cheese and if you want more than 2 toppings (including, lettuce and tomato) its $.75 for each one, not including premium toppings for $1.50 each. Yah, you get two sauces included but who needs that, they should be included (if you want more than 2 sauces add another $.75)? And fries cost $4-$5 so a burger and fries could ultimately cost you almost $20. There are many places close by where I can get a 1/2 lb burger with 2 kinds of cheese, bacon, grilled chilies, grilled and raw onions, whatever I want and with fries comes to only $5. The Rum Runner is one such place and it is about 1/2 mile down the street from the overpriced Grind Burger. How does Grind Burger taste? I guess I will never know as I don't want to spend $50.00 for two burgers and fries. With the economy the way it is you would think they would be more reasonably priced.
I loved this place and am returning the next time im in Vegas. I recommend this place to everyone I had a burger and loved that it. I was able to create my own burger, which was great for me because i am a picky eater. This place had it all for me good food, nice atmosphere and great service. I will be back.
My husband and I came and tried this place because of a talk thread on Yelp suggesting it during their opening week.. All I have to say is absofuçkinlutely BRILLIANT.
I balked at the price at first, and the fact that there were kids in there. (This is NOT a place that's good for kids. Their logo is a nude woman with beef cuts drawn on her.) Afterward, I realized that my balking was for naught. The food was EASILY worth the amount that the prices were set at.
I had a ground chuck burger on a ciabatta with egg on it, sauteed onions and lettuce and some blue cheese sauce. My husband had a ground turkey burger, also on a ciabatta with pickles and lettuce. We also shared a chocolate milkshake (which was quite large), and some sweet potato fries.
The burger was nothing short of amazing. It completely blows any burger I've had in Vegas out of the water, and anyone who seriously enjoys a good burger, particularly with egg, should stop going to Fatburger and head to this place. My only tiny complaint was that the onions could have been done a little more, as they were a tiny bit on the raw side still. This, however, did not detract from the burger in ANY way.
I also tried a bite of my husband's turkey burger, and was amazed to taste that they only used ground turkey breast, and it wasn't littered with rib meat or anything else like that.
The fries were excellent. both plain and with the honey mustard sauce they came with. They didn't require any seasoning (rare for fries I've had in the city), and were nice and crisp on the outside while being moist and soft on the inside, just how it should be.
The shake... That was another thing completely. Think Haagen-Daaz quality ice cream, turned into a milkshake. 60% buttercream, and good quality ingredients made this nothing short of amazing.
The service was completely mind-blowing as well. I was very shocked to learn that our server Cori was actually completely new to serving. She was very attentive without being clingy or hovering, and she got bonus points for knowing that my hubby's shirt was from http://woot.com. The director of operations, Scott, was a pleasure to talk to as well. I had called him over to compliment the food and service, and was extremely please with how pleasant and professional he was. He also referred me to try the pizza place that is also owned by the same people in the plaza. I'm going this week.
Normally it's hard to wring a 5 star review out of me, but I have to say, this is by far one of the best burgers I've ever had, and I will be more than happy to come back a few times before we leave Vegas for good.
Please. If you love food (especially food that doesn't need a ton of salt and pepper to cover blandness) and good service, and don't want to be surrounded by a bunch of kids while you eat, try this place out. You won't be disappointed.
