Abelardos Mexican Restaurant, Spokane Valley

Was a very great place when opened - & for about 2 years -today 11-2011- they have even stopped setvind / allowing free water in the restaurant. Yes - you cant even get a free cup of water. They want everyone to pay for every little thing too. Watch out for this place = and if you really like patronizing Illegal mexicans - Please spend your money here. Think this place will close soon and the food quality is now smaller & not as good. Im never going to spend another penny at this place!!

I live right around the corner. when it first opened it was a great place to eat me and my friends went there alot but the last 6 months their quality is so terrible that we have stopped eating there all together. I would stay steer clear of abelardos

Average food priced cheap. Served on Styrofoam plates. Bring your own fork, the plastic forks are rite aid quality. If you want the best Mexican food in the region, go to Nuevo Vallarta in Pullman.

This place is value and Mexican style more than top notch or Americanized. Sometimes quite good, sometimes like leftovers been in the fridge a couple days. Always an excellent bang for the buck though. The carnitas seem to be good most of the time. The escabeche (spiced/pickled jalapeños & carrots) is excellent. The house salsa is sweet and tastes like it's from a 5 gallon bucket supplied from Manny's Mexican foods inc. in Missouri. BoxcarBill

This place is just like a real Taco Shop. The burritos are huge and the prices are reasonable!!! The hot sauce could be hotter, but is is the best that we have had in Spokane. No wonder it is so busy. We kept driving by the place, but finally stopped in to eat. Too bad we waited so long.
