Went to Tinderbox for the first time a few weeks ago after hearing about happy hour specials, outdoor patio seating, ambiance, etc. I initially sat at the bar since I was alone. The bartender was not at all friendly or welcoming. No smile at all. In fact, he came across as condescending and acted as if I was some sort of nuisance. I asked what microbeers were on tap and told him I wanted something light, at which point he made a sarcastic remark about my choice. I got my beer and went outside and found a table just fine. A few other tables were occupied and the place seemed rather lively. The bartender must have been doubling as a waiter because he came out some time later to check on customers. He did NOT ask if I needed another beer nor did he offer me a menu or ask if I wanted something to eat. As mentioned, he came across as an inconsiderate snob and lacking utterly in customer service mindset. I left after that one beer. As a local Flagstaff resident for more than 20 years, I can tell you I was very disappointed in being treated so poorly. There are plenty of other places around to feel welcomed and treated great!
