Worst place ever. I sat for 30 minutes just to get a menu, and then waited 1 1/2 for someone to take my order ( never came even though I asked twice) , the other people at my table had to ask the manager two times for food and it never came, we where there for 3 hrs and left with 3mpty stomachs. At the end of the night we went to burger king. They served us a whole lot better. Not to mentio the servers where horrendously rude. Worst place everrr! Instead of cazabe it shopuld h quien savbe, quien sabe when the gods coming, quien sabe anything. No review on food since it NEVER ARRIVED. So in sum, pathetic excuse for a restaurant.
My husband and I came with a friend and it was his first time having Dominican Food and he was absolutely enchanted by Cazabe. We had the Chicharron de Pollo, Mofongo, and my hubby being creative ordered nachos & taquitos(which is not really a Caribbean thing) but had to admit that they were pretty good. I am so happy to have found this place cause MD is sorely lacking in decent Dominican fare, most people here only know crappy tex-mex or central and south american dishes and when they hear Caribbean all they know of it is only Franco/Anlgo island oriented like jerk chicken and the like. They don't realize the wealth of flavor the Spanish speaking isles offer. That's why Cazabe is our new date night dinner location.
last saturday i meet my father here in cazabe restaurant .when i first came in in the lounge section good tropical music was playing .i greeted my father and the owner .When we order i had a monfongo con masita de cerso and my fateher had monfongo with bistec.,It was very good and delicious .i love it there the atmosphere and the food was like being in my homeland .i thought i was in Puerto Rico .GREATi give it a 10plus for good service ,good music ,good settings ...everything .this is my new resturant
I went to Cazabe with my buddy who has gone there several times. I'm Puerto Rican and always looking for some good carribean food which the area seriously lacks. The food wasn't the greatest but at the same time it's not the worst I've eaten. It wasn't bad. Where ever you go to eat authentic carribean food is going to differ in taste. You just have to find that place that suits your taste.
As for Cazabe Restaurant, I'd go back because it's one of the better Latin spots that suits my taste.
I dont know what this guy below is talking about, Ive never eaten in the restaurant, but have at the bar, and the food was delicious and filling. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, so my suggestion is to eat at the bar if the restaurant is dumpy, because I find the bar very pleasant.
These pepole that are talking all this good things about this place must be employees or something. I am from the DR and love to see my people get ahead. However, I went there once and I agree with all the bad reviews. The food was terrible, the salad was pathetic, the waiter was lame, the ambiance, was...ehh. I know they can do better or give people what they are paying for. The owner should look around at his competition. For example, go to the Olive Garden and you will get endless quality salad and soup with your meal at a great price, soft drinks refills and peach tea (my favorite). Awsome customer service. If those other restaurants can do it so can the owner of cazabe and some other spanish restaurants that think their food is gold. Did I mentioned the Cheese Cake Factory? Get with the program or don't complain if you go belly up. We are not in the jungle.
