Taste of India, Lake George

Expensive, even for lake George. I went here with some friends expecting a moderately priced meal. Nope. $17 for the goat curry. It didn t even come with nan or roti or any other kind of bread. The curry was good, but I had to ask for the meat because I literally received about five pieces of bone and cartilage. I m serious. I m not just over reacting. I went to give a piece of meat to a friend and there was absolutely no meat just bones. Ive worked in a restaurant for over ten years and know the routine and what bugs the staff, never would I ever ever serve an embarrassing meal like that. And this was just my meal. My buddies ordered the chicken fingers, and I saw their jaws drop as they were served two nuggets and a handful of fries for way too much money. We will never come back.

My friends and I come to this restaurant all the time,we always start with the samosa. This place was my introduction to Indian food and i am so glad that i gave it a chance.I love mom and pop restaurants because they always have unique food.My favorite dishes are the chicken tikka masala and the goat curry,its a great blend of spices.. A must try for a person who loves different variety of foods!

I was visiting from NewYork and came across TASTE OF INDIA,my family decided we would try the food here. The food was so delicious that i ate here every day for three days.They have an excellent chole and bhatura combination,its the best i have ever had.we had a few other dishes here and they were also very good. the food here is very good and the service is pleasant and the atmosphere is very nice.A PROPER EXPERIENCE!

my friends were visiting from the brazil for the first time in upstate ny,so we decided to head up to lake george for a boat ride,after the boat ride we were starving so we asked someone on the st where could we get some food with a little spice,they said try a taste of india they have great food, we figured they must have paid her for saying that lol..anyway we did go to taste of india i had the goat curry my two buddies had the chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo oh ye and the mango lassie.it was very quiet at our table while we ate the food was awesome we all agreed the spices flowed so well we actually felt we were eating home like our own mother cooked for us.the views of lake george are awesome aswel we highly recomend a taste of india when in lake george the staff was awesome too:)

RUDE OWNER, BAD FOOD, EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE, AND I WAS FORCED TO PAY 15% GRATITUDE FOR FOOD FOR 2. EVERYTHING IS OVER PRICED!!!! I enjoy good food and don't mind paying high prices as long as it's worth it, however TASTE OF INDIA really has bad food for high prices. Low proportion of food, burnt naan, 5 pieces of chicken in my chicken-tikka-masala. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND anyone to go here. Save your money and go somewhere else. It makes me so angry that I spend money at this place. UGH!

I was at this restaurant 7/10/11 just cause i read some of the reviews on here and let me tell you this restaurant does not serve anything frozen everything is fresh and finger licking good..we ordered shahi paneer,aloo gobi,malai kofta and let me say everything was magnificent.the view also is very pleasant and relaxing....dnt believe some of the stuff on here try it for yourself....

my husband and i ate at this restaurant recently and we loved the food,it took me back to lahore where im from the food was very tasty and the naan was fresh and soft....we ordered the goat curry and lamb vindaloo it was just great.The food at this restaurant is fresh and authentic proper punjabi food.this place is a must try.

I ate here with a group of my friends and was extremely happy with food and the service.we got out food quite quickly and it was made with perfection full of flavor and very tasty.the waitress was so sweet and attentive i had to double her tip i enjoyed my experience at this restaurant and would recommend to all my friends.very nice
