Consistently marginal food my last four visits in 6 months The latest visit involved tepid steaks with no sear, lobster overcooked, no drawn butter till requested, and side dishes finally appearing halfway through dinner only after I finally demanded them from the waiter and manager. Despite all apologies a dinner of substantial expense had been disrupted at that point. Never again. I'll stick to Flemings or Sullivans or Ruths Chris or even Longhorn and Outback for that matter
I recently visited this place, and wasn't impressed. The food was good, however the restaurant lacks the fine dining experience. I ordered the New York Strip with the smoked gouda corn grits. They were both lovely, but I would opt for Ruth Chris in the future. Our waiter was also a bit slow to bring the drinks and steak sauce, and completely forgot my sidedish until I reminded him...(sigh)should have went to Louisiana Lagniappe as planned. Did I mention, the restaurant was almost empty? Kudos to new restaurants in Baton Rouge, however nothing tops the originals (Ruth Chris, Lagniappe, Ruffinos, etc).
