What obvious attempts at sabotage of Mt Everest here by competitors on Yahoo Local. I see the same things happen in the same category on Yelp, only yelp is good at removing blatant dupe reviews.
Mt Everest is easily the best Indian Lunch buffet in town and a very strong restaurant overall at rock bottom prices. I'd eat here every day if my wife would let me.
Don't be put off by the location, or the bad reviews. Bad reviews of this place are BS. Service was friendly, lunch buffet was excellent. If you have any room left after lunch, you can get a great piece of tiramisu, and a Mexican coke at the supermarket.
Man, never go to this restaurant ever. The first time was ok when we went there a month ago. But this time, we have had enough.
One of the waiters was playing with his nose while talking to his friend in the kitchen door.
I almost got out of there without eating but we stayed there coz we already had ordered.
The food tasted awfully bad. And by the way, Mt Everest is not in India. It's in Nepal. Why did the city even let them keep that name in the first place ? I have no idea.
We were looking for Indian cuisine on my birthday and went over to Mount Everest after reading reviews.......what a great disappointment ! Never had a had Butter chicken so greasy that you would literally feel it in your mouth. The service sucked too. We asked our waiter for drinks and we recieved nothing. Although my uncle told them that it was my birthday.
I am not sure about the bad reviews but good ones are definitely added by the owner.
You get what you pay, not worth the price or worth the chance of getting your car dented or scratched from the busy parking lot due to the mexican grocery store. Food is tasty if you like greasy curries, overcooked chicken and thin bland sauces. Scary neighborhood. Vegas has better.
A DELIGHT!!!! I go here at least 3 times a month and sometimes 6 or 7 with utter joy. Need I say more? I will. I love it love it! love it! Always tasty, always clean and oh so very friendly.
The buffet is $9.72 and that's with tax. The Nan gets to your table before you do and always hot and fresh! The variety enormous, they even give you free mango chuntey for your lamb curry, which is severed almost daily.
They offer two kinds of rice, six veg, chicken and so much more! This is the last word in fine Indian cuisine with a reasonable price for the locals to enjoy.
Most other Indian buffets shut their doors to you at precisely 2:30, not this place, you can get there at 3pm (daily) and be serve at the buffet.
I have to agree with other reviewers. The food is flavorless and taste old. There was very little or no chicken in my curry either. If they have to be prosperous they have to improve thier food quality instead of fighting with the poor guests and reviewers. Learn to accept your faults Mount Everest. If people truly saying it dont use harsh language against them, HELP them. Just a little tip.
Awful food and ignorant service ever! They charged me twice on my credit card instead of comping something as we found the food inappropraitely disgusting. When i called them about my credit card they said they are very busy and hung up...OMG!! was i mad! I literally had to go to the restaurant 4 times to have it fixed. Would never recommend anyone.
