I heard this place was good from a friend so I ventured in a couple of weeks back. I ordered a salad which was topped with browning fruit, overcooked walnuts, and the worst viniagrette I have ever tasted. Second I had the linguine and clam dish and again was greatly dissapointed. The pasta was fresh, I will give them that but it was cooked terribly and the recipe was obviously bad as the texture was not great. The clam sauce had a sandy, gritty texture and the wine had not been cooked out properly. Also while dining I observed one of the disgustingly dressed cooks head to the bathroom for what seemed to be quite some time. Ill let you think about what he was doing while inside. What kind of stupid restaurant owner makes his customers share a bathroom with his staff. The cook was covered in food and also carried his kitchen towel into the bathroom. This incident was enough to put me off a dessert. I have since spoken with a friend who said she had actually been given a tour of the kitchen. I was horrified to hear about the filth she also encountered. Last but not least I recently read of a low health department grade that parma recieved for not correctly cooling food. Bacteria anyone? This place is overpriced, flithy, and about as average as a restuarant can be. ANother Italian boy who thinks his moms food is good. Its not. I wouldnt suggest Parma to anybody unless they want food poisoning. Happy eating everyone. Try eating at one of the many great restaurants on the strip as their menus are actually pretty similarly priced per course. Who does Chef Marc think he is charging $50 for a tasting menu. I could get that from Michael Mina or Areoule at Mandalay Bay. Final comment: What kind of wine bar opens bottles of wine at the deli counter in an incorrect manner and then leaves the bottles sitting out for hours. Apparently the waiters also have no formal training. A bottle of wine should be presented to a guest and opened at the table. I wouldnt normally complain but this restaurant isnt cheap. It tries to be informal and casual but still charges up to $40.00 for a steak. That is the same course price as Joel Robochon who has the only three star michelin rated restaurant in Las Vegas. Think this guy is cocky? WOW!
Top of the line. Pure mouth orgasm. Fresh like no other! They make every bit of pasta from scratch. Their sauces are over the top and bursting with succulent flavors that make you want to jump out of your seat and scream for more! They basically ask you what you want to eat...and they make it. That simple. It does not matter what is on the menu, you tell them your thoughts and they will do the rest...with 5 star portions and flavoring. You will not leave hungry. It is perfectly portioned...not like those high fancy places where you get 2 bites to eat, and not where you will be taking 30 boxes of left overs. (hungry just writing about this place) The waiters are super cool and nice and will probably make you laugh as well. They also have a deli counter with cheeses, meats, olives, artichokes and deserts. OH! i have to pause for a minute and wipe my drooling mouth just thinking about their chocolate cake. Whew! You can also go there and buy fresh made pasta by wight. I mean its like 2 dollars more than buying the pasta from the store and it it hand freaking made! Take it home and boil for a few minutes and its done. I am Italian and had italian cooking since i was born and my family makes pasta at home...a huge mess, expensive..why? Go to Parma by Chef Marc and by it for a couple of bucks. Pick up some artichokes and a cannoli to truly dine for the evening at home. super prices...3 adults went..got 2 apps and 3 entrees for 75 bucks...BEAT THAT!!! ask them to make soupa di mussels..its not on the menu but they can make and have them throw in the calamari...they have such fresh calamari that they did not even want to fry it because it would just ruin the way they have it flavored and marinated. They also have a sitting area with couches where you can just listen to the music, talk to friends and family, order drinks and anipastas...how relaxing is that folks? I am giving this a 5 star rating but thats not really true...I am giving a 10 out of 5.
