Steaming Sick from the Steaming Bean!
By Paul, 10/11/08
This is my second trip to the ladys loo this afternoon! The "Mexican Scramble" i ordered from a very "disconnected" teen was lukewarm at best, as they DO ALL THEIR COOKING BY MICROWAVE! It took forever to get the food to the booth I was at, my lady friend had to remind the spaced out girl as to the whereabouts of said scramble was at...scroungy, needed to have the varnish peeled from the booths...I don't mind if teens work, just don't do it "medicated" or under the influence of narcotics..a place I won't be back EVER and won't soon forget..I haven't had food leave my body so fast! ALL COOKING DONE BY MICROWAVE PEOPLE!!!! OH MY STARS!! And I'm still making trips to the toilet!! The girl at the counter didn't know how to operate a credit card machine!! DON'T DO DRUGS KIDS!!

The coffee is great ! The service?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/08
We stopped to order our second time experience of enjoying a 'Fog raiser' excellent tasting coffee! However, the canister and three other blends were near empty at around 10:00am. One of the girls apologized as a local slung all four empty canisters over the counter and offered to make us an Americano. Ok, a few minutes wait wouldn't be that bad. Finally, one was done and as we reached for the second one the barista stopped in mid sentence to admire a new pair of skates a fellow local/friend? had come in the door with. The chit-chat about them went on for quite some time as we stood there, arm extended waiting for our second taste of our new found favorite coffee. Suddenly she came back to earth and quickly handed us our cup joy. This is a great place to buy excellent coffee but the customer service left something to be desired on this visit.

Great place

The place has a new owner and a new crew of talented baristas.Everyone was nice. Definitely where the locals hangout. Great food, fun atmosphere. Very eclectic and beachy. Try the black rabbit organic coffee and the quiche rocks. Also, there is an area for the kids to hangout and play. Loved it..!
