Bluff Falls Water Park & Entertainment Center, Poplar Bluff

My family and I have been going to Poplar Bluff to the water parke for several years now. Last year the wave pool didnt work and was in not the best shape. We heard that it had been bought and the new owners were offering a 1/2 price special. So we got online got our tickets and loaded up the kids and grandkids and headed to Missouri. The place looked pretty good. Clean and wave pool was working. We had a great time The park is small enough that the older grandkids could go about their sliding while the adults floated in the wave pool and the little ones played in the kiddy area. A few things could be better the previous owners had rows and rows of lawn chairs for the grownups to lounge in, we arrived about 15 min after opening and no chairs were available it was obvious that several rows of chairs had been done away with so that was not cool we had to wait until someone vacated their chair and haul it over to where we were sitting and were only able to accumulate 2 chairs for 12 people . Old owners had piles of tubes at each slide and pool, always plenty no need to haul around with you. New owners are renting the tubes they are cumbersome and get away from you easily. they all look alike so the little ones get them mixed up as they are numbered and you have to return your tube to get your $1 refund. Old owners had life guards at each pool and slide. We sat at the kid pool most of the day and saw several kids slip and fall running into the pool Three or four in a row slip and hit their head at the entrance. More supervision and maybe a textured area where they enter to prevent slipping on the concrete. Also the kid pool is ICE cold not only do the kids not want to get in the water but over by the play equiptment the water pressure is so strong a little one could not stay up, my son is a 6' 2' 300 lb man and he was knocked down by the force of the water. The lazy river is too shallow you scrape your feet if floating inside your tube and it is buggy and dirty the two lifeguards i did see as we floated by would be helpful to have a dip net cleaning the water as they are watching the floaters instead of just sitting. The food bar had a big selection but it was very poorly managed. 30 min wait for a hot dog 45 min wait for fries. Alot of the food items listed were unavailable. It didnt seem like they were prepared for a crowd of hungry folks and the disorganization of ordering and picking up food made our hungry crowd cranky. They clearly need to hire more staff in the kitchen and lifeguards to supervise the pool areas and add more loungers for swimmers. Had we not had to wait 45 min for our food, steal lawn chairs as soon as they were vacated, and haul around our rented tubes we would have had a pretty decent day. We will be skeptical about going back next year. Its a shame cause this used to be such a fun place to go :-(

bluff falls is a great place to have fun with the family until a few days after, recently quite a few people have come up with skin infections after their Bluff Falls visit. realizing that this place is for sale and it's got that we don't really care look leaves a bunch of us not going to do kind any business there anymore. MY first one has been deleted! obviously someone doesn't want this out there.

We had a great time yesterday at Bluff Falls. My children (ages 12, 8 and 6) enjoyed the wave pool, the lazy river, and the three water slides. My husband and I enjoyed it as well. The only downfall was the price of admission for what the park offers. I would suggest to come early to get your pick of places to sit or come after 3 pm for cheaper admission.

i took my son to the park he had fun. its cheaper if you go after 3pm still have a lot time to play. There was only one neg thing is the kiddie pool was to cold

Gives people around our area something to do, but is definitely too expensive for the little amount they offer. It probably costs so much because there is nothing competing with it.

my friend and I took his kids and my son plus a few(6) more children for a birthday party and I was really surprised with the overall park and its staff. There was plenty of things for us to do as the children stayed on the water side most of the time The put-put golf was great but we spent most of the time on the course and not having to stand alot of time in line. We will be returning this year with a family pass for the summer!

The water park is good for parties, and just to cool off. There are Three big slides, a wave pool, lazy river, and a childeren's waterpark, as well as a Gocart track for dryer entertainment. I think the park is a good value, especially considering the drive needed to get to a equivelant park. We had fun, got sunburnt, and had a good time. It's a winner!

I thought that the admission prices were extremely high for what few attractions there are. Only 3 large slide, wave pool, and lazy river. I have been to many other parks that offer tons more activities for a fraction of the price. After 3:00 it is cheaper, which is the better deal.
