A cute bit of culture in Cape May
I went to see "Fully Committed" at the Cape May Stage a couple of weeks ago. I must admit that I'm sort of a theater snob, having been to many performances in NYC and at various places around the country. So, I had low expectations for the CMS. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The stage is small, but sufficient. The seating is nice. I did not feel cramped at all, and the stadium-style set-up ensures that everyone has a good view.
Word of caution: Many places around town offer a dinner-and-show package that seems to be a good deal, but you may be disappointed. I took the dinner-and-show deal at the Washington Inn, and while the service was great, the menu was VERY limited, and what was on there was bland fare. In the end, this "deal" ended up costing me about $70 because of the beverages, tax, tip, etc. If you do decide to do the dinner-and-show, be sure to phone the restaurant and ask them if the menu is a normal menu or a limited one. I would not do the dinner-and-show again unless the menu was not limited.
