Sandusky Mall, Sandusky

We stopped in at the mall cause it was a rainy afternoon and we didn't want to stay cooped up in our motel room. It's a very small mall and nothing spectacular... but it's a MALL. It isn't supposed to be (maybe in a giant megacity like NYC or something, but this is Ohio). We spent a few hours walking around and killed time in a few stores that interested us. All and all the place was very clean and the staff at the stores were very nice. It's not a place to write home about (again it's a MALL, be real now folks), but was a nice place to kill time out of the rain during our trip.

I worked at the mall for years. Its our closest mall in this area. Its obviously not supposed to be some spectacular place to travel to to shop. Its just a shopping center for those who go to Cedar Point in the summer and those of us who live here. Considering this I think its doing its job. The stores are all newer and very clean. The mall inside is really nothing to be upset about and as for the parking lot and the street leading there... unless you shop from outdoors why does that even matter. Secruity DOES suck but most mall security does because they are not certified police officers. I can tell you this from an employee's point of view. They are not responsible for much. Doesnt mean its any less safe than any other mall. I've been wakling to my car at night for years and.. surprise I'm still alive. So its Sandusky... an average town known for nothing but Cedar Point. Its not L.A. so dont expect so much from a simple mall that obviously has your basic shopping stores where you can get what you want. Sorry, this just made me laugh when I read these. Like you traveled so far just for our mall. Of course your not happy. If your lookin for something special and up-scale keep looking. But if your just around town and need somewhere to get some things this mall works just fine. Ive lived here all my 22 years. So.. no complaints.

I took a trip to the mall today and hit a pot hole down mall road. Well I was on my way home and my tire went completely flat! The pot hole bent the rim on my car and now I have to pay to fix it! If the mall wants to make sure that people enjoy shopping there, they should at least make sure people can get there safely first! That is just unacceptable!

The Sandusky Mall is great if you are 50+ years old.  There are no good shopping stores and ONE decent resturant to eat in! Ruby Tuesdays is nothing to get excited over.  I think that it is a good waste of space.  The only reason they get the business that they do is because of Old Navy and Target! So my advice to you is don't bother...it will be a waste of time!
