Dinosaur Walk Museum
An unforgettable educational experience the whole family will enjoy can be found at this museum that contains the largest collection of dinosaurs in the world with over 60 life sized dinosaurs on site, as well as over 20 reptile exhibits featuring some of the world's most venomous snakes. All exhibits are accompanied by informative text that tells the story of these amazing lifeforms.
I was really disappointed. The kids begged to go so we went. It looked like a huge museum but ended up being VERY SMALL. The kids did have a good time and I enjoyed what they did have but OVERPRICED for so little. We will NEVER go again. We will be trying WonderWorks this year.
It is a small little place that you walk through in less than 30 minutes, but has a lot of dinosaur like statues there and very informative facts. There is also a place at the end you can sit, rest, and watch a video on dinos. My girls and my nephew loved it. It is a good thing to do if it is raining or you have small kids and can't do a lot. We enjoy it very much and we go there every time we are in TN.
I recently went to the Dinosaur Walk Museum on part of my vacation... unlike many of the other reviewers here I enjoyed the museum quite a bit... I am not sure what the people expected to see.. what I saw was quite realistic representations of several of my favorite dinosaurs... there was also quite a bit of information on each of the dinosaurs displayed... the whole family had a good time learning and got some great photos...
This place was a waste of time and money. You pay a lot of money to look at dinosaurs for about half an hour. Only for dinosaur enthusiasts-it's a waste of money for anyone else. There are plenty of other things to do in town that are actually fun and worth the money. Go to WonderWorks instead.
The dinosaurs were fabulous; though they did not move, they were easily the most realistic looking models I have ever seen, and they had so many displayed that I had never even heard about before!
The kids enjoyed participating in some of the activities as well, and the movies they showed were pretty cool.
First of all it is in a big warehouse which from the outside looks like it would hold a lot more than it actually does. There were no actual dinosaur sounds and the lighting is not good in the back part of the exhibit. The dvd was not being shown and we were in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. On the way out we heard one of the people taking the money on the phone telling someone that you could easily spend all day in there. Only if you wanted to be very bored! The place to dig for fossils was exposed with sand all over the floor and the "bones" there on the top. It doesn`t look like it is well kept up and no one acts like they care if you are there or not.
