Disappointment is all I was left with. BLONDELL, the masseuse, should be let go. She ruined my Christmas present to my boyfriend. As a surprise, I organized a massage for my boyfriend. When I dropped him off, I said "I'll park the car and see you in five." I arrived at the front desk and asked if he made it in alright. The receptionist told me he was late and so his massage would be cut short 10min. After pulling out my iPhone (thank god for technology) and verifying he was in fact ON TIME, the receptionist said she would run back and let the masseuse know the mistake. The receptionist came back from letting the masseuse know her mistake and to my surprise the masseuse (Blondell) said he was still late. It was awkward. We all stood there starring at each other. Disappointment passed through my body. Case in point: He was getting a 50min massage with an appointment from 6:15pm 7:15 leaving 10min to change for a 50min massage – HE WAS ON TIME. Blondell had informed him that he was late, and it being a surprise, he was unaware of the details, and so when she dictated his new apt length he had no room to disagree. The red door receptionist and the computer ALL agreed that he was ON TIME, but BLONDELL did not agree. Apparently, the receptionists have no authority over the masseuse, even if they are wrong. I was so disappointed that I will never, ever go to this spa again. We are in a recession and $140.00 for a 50min massage is a treat. She should be fired!!!! Fired! The Red Door Salon is better than staff comprised of people like BLONDELL. Unfortunately, a large majority of my friends and family go to this particular location… NOT ANYMORE.

Been going there for about 10years and the quality of service and the treatment of clients has steadily gone down. The good hair dressers, the good nail people and the good front desk people keep leaving. It used to act like a spa and now the personal treatment you expect is not up to par and when getting a pedicure the last three times I have listened to people on their cell phones and the pedicure has been rushed and poorly executed. I followed my Red Door hairdresser to another salon. I won't go back.

Somehow my appointment was misscheduled. The time that the staff person gave me on the phone was not the time that was on the schedule when I arrived. Although the staff tried to make it happen, there was much delay and in the end it didn't. What was the most disappointing was that these young people did not apologize for the inconvenience and did not see the need to.

Lissette gave a facial and she was terrific as was the make up gal, Donni afterwards. It was so relaxing! I have been looking for a great Spa experience since I moved to DC from LA 3 years ago. I finally found it at this Red Door location in Pentagon City. It really was a wonderful experience!

The spa techs. were nice but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED with the customer service. I expected more from a spa as established as Red Door. Three of my lady friends and myself were given spa packages as gifts. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance, however, when we arrived we got the feeling we were not expected. Despite the reservations, we were told that one of the services included in the package was not available that day because no one was available to provide it.... but we could come back at another time and get it done. Being busy ladies we asked if we could choose another treatment at a comparable price. We were told but no but they'd work with us to make return appoints. (No thanks) Between my massage and pedicure there was a disconnect and I was forgotten in the relaxation room for 3/4 of an hour. It wasn't until the rest of my group started asking for me that they relized there was another pedicure scheduled. Once again I got the feeling they were unprepare for two pedicures at the same time. My pedicure tech. did not ask me choose my polish color (my favorite part) instead preceded to use the color that happened to be on her stand. When I requested another color she asked what color and then pulled 2 shades off the shelf and asked which I wanted?????!!! She also forgot to give me my warm aroma neck pillow until I asked if I could have one. (another favorite part) If you do a lot of spas these things may seem petty but if a spa day is a treat for you, the little things are what really makes it special. I suggest you try another spa, this was a very disappointing experience.

I have been seeing Heather at the Red Door in Pentagon City for about 2 years now. She is always so excited to cut my hair because I always wait much to long between my appointments-so we get to try something new every time. I always leave feeling so good about how I look and how I feel. We have so much fun during our hour together. She is so talented and I would trust her to do anything with my hair. It is hard to get an appointment with her, so I always have to plan far ahead now. It is well worth the wait!

I recently saw Heather Wright at Red Door in Pentagon Row for both my trial hair and wedding day hair. I have to say, usually I feel very nervous about someone new doing my hair, but she made me feel comfortable right away. She was very attentive and patient...I had alot of ideas. She made me feel and look more beautiful than I could ever have imagined-I looked perfect. Plus my hair held the curls for the first 2 days of my honeymoon. If I didn't live in Texas I would love to see her regularly! I recommend her highly!

I've been going to this location for over 2 years. The employees who actually preform the services are all excellant in my experiences. They do their best to cater to you, the customer. One big item that the spa needs to work on is the management of the spa. The girls working the front desk need a few lessons in professionalism. One of the managers needs to work on pleasing the customer, not re-iterating policies which may or may not apply to an individual situation.

The pedicure was one of the worst I ever had. Costed over $77 dollars and lasted a little over a week. I have had a few services and overall not worth the price.
