Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church

I have been going to OLQP since i was about 9 years old, it is not like most catholic churches and you are sure to feel welcomed and accpeted no matter what. It is truly a wonderful place.

Several years ago, a good friend discovered Our Lady Queen of Peace. It is a Church that provides a very nurturing environment. The kind of Church I wish I attended as a child.

Last July we were visiting in the area and attended Sunday Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace. I truly believe that God led us to this amazing parish that day.I have never been in a church with so many wonderful qualities. From beginning to end it was an extraordinary experience. The people, the music, the homily, the extra time taken for prayer petitions and special occasions at the end, everyone joining hands for The Lord's Prayer, the time taken for the sign of peace. Everything about this place is special. The bulletin was interesting and showed their commitment to social justice. I live 7 hours away and can't wait to visit again. I now spend hours on their excellent web site and pray that our comunity can add some of the things brought back from OLQP.

After 17 years in Arlington I finally found the place to be! Last year I was invited to visit OLQP by a fellow Ignatian Volunteer, and now I'm hooked! the previous review tells everything: you feel right at home at the most diverse and welcoming community. Try it and you'll go back, no matter how much you'll have to drive.

After reading the one review...and by the way more people should give reviews on churches, I attended this church. Boy, was I glad I did! What a great energy and congregation. I've been looking for a good Catholic Church for a long time that wasn't boring and constantly asking for money for missions located in other countries. A church that kept you engaged in the process and uplifted you. Well, this is the place. The choir is great and you better get there early...there were people standing outside to get into the place. AMAZING! Check it out...you won't be sorry
