Beauty Spa, The, Harrisonburg

I started going to The Beauty Spa in 1990. I have had a variety of services done there. Including, manicures, pedicures, and facials. I usually go to Anita and she is great. She always makes sure to start my appointment on time, which as a busy mom I really appreciate. But she also lets me relax and just use the spa as my get-away. - Joan L.

The people who work here are so friendly and they really go out of their way to make your experience nice. The first time I visited, I thought it was odd that it's upstairs in an old house, but now I see that as part of the charm. The setting makes everything seem more "homey" and relaxing. Also, the quality of the services is excellent. The manicures and pedicures last forever.

I had an overall good experience. It was kind of awkward because you can hear the other offices in the house very well. I actually heard lawyers' conversations during the experience and them walking up and down the stairs. It kind of detracts from the relaxing atmosphere.

The Beauty Spa is a place where I go to relax, engage in friendly conversation, and get professional nail, facial and massage services. I regard my visits to this spa as a theraputic interlude in my otherwise hectic and sometimes stressful life. The Beauty Spa is marvelous - warm and inviting, professional, immaculately clean, cosy, and totally focused on the client. Personally, I find the location convenient, the building - complete with creaky floors - quaint, and a decor condusive to the unique experience the Beauty Spa offers. From the moment I approach the Beauty Spa, my anticipation rises and as soon I as open the door, my senses are engaged. I am greeted by scents and plants and murals and music that welcome and calm. And, I feel all this before I even begin to receive spa treatments! Quality products, including Aveda, are available for purchase. However, this spa's emphasis is on services so, if you are interested in products, you'll have to initiate the discussion. The Beauty Spa does not "move" merchandise and the staff will be honest in any assessment of your product needs. The Beauty Spa is more expensive because it offers quality services, using quality products, and takes time with you. If you are in a hurry, inform staff, so they can provide their express services. Also, if at all possible, book in advance; this is a spa that has a loyal following and sometimes it is hard to get an appointment. So, the Beauty Spa gets my five stars overall experience, atmosphere, and value.
