Harrisonburg Children's Museum, Harrisonburg

There were lots of hands on activities from vegetable farming to emergency medical display with a full sized ambulance. Also a model car to take apart and "repair", geography, physics, art and theatre experiences. What's not to like?

I took my grandchildren to this place. We have been traveling all the way to MD for a place like this. It is incredible. The people are friendly and helpful, it is very clean and lots to do. We are very fortunate to have this so close I encourage you if you have children between 3 and 8 years old to support this adventure so that we may not lose it.

It was awsome and open the value great. You can take the whole gang and they can go anywhere they want and you can see them all. Everything is hands ON and for the kids no no touchiung here. They get to be/do whatever and have a blast and are learning all at the same time as everything is educational and they even have stuff on loan from top educational development companies and colleges. The only thing I would suggest is go after snack or before lunch ect. as their are no refreshments allowed (for saftey). Rainy Day...don't stay hme and pull your hair out and let them make a mess all over the house take them here and they'll be so tired from play that you'll have no trouble at nap time. NOTE: while this tends to be viewed for the 6 and under age group; their is plenty of things for the older kids too, my 10 year old loves to go.

My husband and I have five grandchildren from ages 1 to five, so we joined. This museum is the one place they always ask to visit when they come to see us. They love to play in the garden area. Some of the exhibits change so there is always something new to explore.

Loved everything about it! It's clean, bright, staff is friednly and the exhibits are so much fun. Can't believe a town this small has such a top quality musuem. We'll be back often!

Can't believe how much you get for your $$ here .... your family can't see a ball game, movie or any other kind of entertainment as affordably AND it's educational too!! My husband and I learned a lot!! Keep this place open by going and volunteering your time!!!!!

Both of my children were occupied for several hours. It was easy to keep an eye on them, even if they wanted to go in different directions. The staff was exceptionally friendly and it was very clean! We will definitely to back! It was well worth the money and I would think any child from baby to around 12 years would love it.
