I had my wedding there...big mistake. Any bride that is even remotely considering having their wedding there should think twice. They're all nice for the most part....their wine is not great however. A lot of my guests said they expected more from them based on all the hype about Prince Michel. The set up for my reception was nothing like I had planned and Brad, the event coordinator was on his phone all the time and seemed very disconnected from it all. Just overall completely unprofessional.
 
 
 
 
 
Pleasantly surprised

I was recently at a friend's home in New York and they had a really nice looking newsletter from Prince Michel Winery. As a wine lover, I made it a point to check out the winery the next time I was in Washington DC. Boy was it worth the drive from DC. I was pleasantly surprised by everything from the elegant restaurant to the wonderful wines. The staff was so friendly, we felt like family. I highly recommend a stop at Prince Michel Winery. I'll certainly be going back.
 
 
 
 
 
What a memory!!

My family and I stopped by this lovely winery on Route 29 north of Charlottesville and had the most amazing time. We had driven by Prince Michel Winery numerous times but never stopped in. What we found was incredible. Not only was it beautiful inside and out, the staff was wonderful!! They have this phenominal gift shop with a tasting bar in the center. All wine tastings are free, and the staff make you feel right at home. They even have a spot for children!! We joined their wine club and will now always stop by!
