Located near the old port, between Rue Maynadier and the Mairie, this Italian restaurant has an excellent reputation. It offers customers an original choice: pizza made the traditional way or from buckwheat dough. Those who prefer pasta can choose from various kinds, including spaghetti and fettuccini, accompanied by sauces such as Au Pistou (Pesto), Cheese, or Al Arrabiata (quite spicy). There are over twenty different pizzas and as many other dishes to choose from. Expect to pay EUR7.17-9.60 for pizzas; pasta dishes cost EUR8.69-10.82; there is a set menu available for EUR17.53.
Strongly recommended by friends, I pop in for pizza.
The place looks promising, wood-oven nice and clean.
The pizza dough was OK: thin and a just a bit crunchy, however the toppings were a mixture of grated cheese slightly burned rather than melted, too much tomato sauce with a "strange" taste (tomato on pizza should be plain with no spices), the mozzarella, while included in the ingredient list, was nowhere to be tasted (at least I couldn't) and the whole thing was submerged by a thick layer of oregano and possibly other spices I couldn't identify.
One of the worse pizza I ever had, maybe it can appeal northern European which have never travelled abroad (sorry I do not mean to offend anybody)!
The surely waiter looked bored and gave wrong change back (expecting I wouldn't complain??)
and had to be called multiple time.
Final judgement : never again.
